Overview

The VOPEX® DVI Video Splitter enables up to 16 single link digital DVI displays to be driven by a single digital DVI source with no loss of signal.

  • Supports DVI interface for crisp and clear video quality on flat panel displays.
  • Supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p, and up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA).
  • Passes HDMI audio and video signal through DVI-I port.
    • Transmit audio and video over a single cable with the DVI-HD-xx-MM male DVI-D to male HDMI cable.
  • Available with optional stereo audio for 4 and 8 port units.
  • Compliant with DVI 1.0 and HDCP standards.
  • Supports the DDC2B protocol.
  • EDID learning for the support of any DVI display device.
  • Cascade multiple units for more numerous display configurations.
  • Ideal for digital signage, tradeshows, or classrooms where high quality video on multiple monitors is needed.

Application Notes

  • How to Split a DVI Video Source and Extend Remote HDMI Video Up to 600 Feet Away

    The VOPEX-DVIS-x can be used with the HDMI HDBase-T Extender (ST-C6HD-HDBT) to extend each splitter's video output up to 600 feet away over CAT5e/6/6a/7 cable. A DVI-HD-xx-MM cable converts the DVI video output into HDMI signals for connection to the extender's local unit. An HDTV can be connected at the remote end using an HD-xx-MM cable for HDMI displays, or a DVI-HD-xx-MM cable for DVI displays. Note that this configuration does not support audio extension.

    If an HDMI source is connected to the DVI Splitter using DVI-HD-xx-MM, audio will pass through from the source to the extender and HDMI display. This configuration does not support HDCP.
