Dorset, UK: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) announces the addition of the XTENDEX® Transparent VGA USB Extender to its popular line of KVM Extenders. The unit extends four USB devices and a VGA monitor up to 61 meters over a single CATx cable. Each USB extender consists of a local unit that connects to a computer and also supplies video to a local monitor, and a remote unit that connects to four USB devices and a monitor.
The VGA USB Extender supports fully transparent USB connections, including all USB computers (PC, SUN and MAC) and their associated peripherals, such as, keyboards, mice, printers, game controllers, USB flash drives, touch screen monitors, and whiteboards. The unit supports DDC2B and resolutions up to 2048x1536 for both local and remote VGA monitors.
The ST-C5USBVT is compliant with USB 2.0 (low/full speed) standards, supports the Plug-n-Play specification, and meets the electrostatic discharge (ESD) immunity requirements of IEC/EN 61000-4-2. Mounting brackets are included for easy surface/wall mounting.
The transparent USB Extender with VGA Video is available for immediate sale with these options: dual video, dual video + two-way audio (support for speakers and microphone) + RS232.
