Dorset, UK: Network Technologies Inc (NTI) announced the addition of the Multiple HDMI Extender Over HDBase-T with Power Over Ethernet to its popular line of Rackmount Extenders. The Multiple HDMI Extender transmits uncompressed digital HDMI signals from eight sources to eight remote displays and speakers, each located up to 100 meters away via CAT6/6a/7 cables.
Each input on the ST-C6HD-HDBT-L8-R corresponds to a specific output in a point-to-point connection: input 1 is always connected to output 1, and so on. Power over Ethernet (PoE) provides power to all connected ST-C6HDPOE-HDBT-R-LC receivers, with no power supply required at the remote units. The unit supports HDTV resolutions to 1080p and computer resolutions to 4096x2160.
HDMI features supported include: 4K x 2K – 3840x2160 and 4096x2160 resolutions; 24/36-bit Deep Color; x.v. Color; Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby Digital, DTS 7.1 and LPCM; 3D; bandwidth up to 300 MHz (10.2 Gbps); support for CEC (consumer electronic control) compatible devices; and Lip Sync. There is no loss of audio or video quality between the transmitter and remote units, and the Multiple HDMI Extender reads EDID from the connected displays.
The ST-C6HD-HDBT-L8-R Multiple HDMI Extender comes in a compact 1RU design with dimensions of 432x179x44 mm, and includes a 1RU rackmount kit. The ST-C6HDPOE-HDBT-R-LC remote units have a dimension of 102x115x25 mm and send and receive high definition video, audio, and DDC signals via HDBase-T technology.
